2011 Piano Recital

I had my Annual Piano Recital on Monday the 17th of January. I have been teaching Piano for I believe seven years. I can't believe that it has really been that long. I keep telling myself that I am to busy to teach, but I love it way to much! I can't imagine my life not teaching. I love watching my students learn and progress. I love watching them take on a hard song, and master it. I love hearing about there life! They are constantly making me laugh. I can honestly say that I love each and every one of my students, and I am so proud to be there teacher.
I started teaching Easton, and Jensen this year. It has been a blast. Jensen was a wimp and wouldn't do the recital, but Easton did so great! I was so proud of him.

All of my amazing students. They all honestly did so great! I was so proud of each of them. It ended up being such a great night!

The Joy of Dating

So I have decided that I am going on a dating strike okay maybe not, but boy does dating just make you laugh, and sometimes wanna just punch somebody ha!! So as I was driving home last night and I sat and thought of all the ridiculous things boys have said or done over the past two weeks. Sometimes I just wonder what the crap they are thinking or even if they have a brain. You just have to laugh about it though.
  1. Well this isn't really a date, but I guess I could open your door. (Date or not buddy you can still be a gentleman)
  2. What the crap is that thing on your waist (Well that would be called a belt that I think looks super cute thanks Mr. Fashion police)
  3. I drove out there last time it is your turn to drive here. (Okay I am so glad that it is snowing outside, and your such a gentleman to pick me up for a date ha)
  4. Blind Date: Kept putting his freakin hand on my butt. Come on I mean really?
  5. Somebody said oh your dating my piano teacher we just love her... Well she is just OKAY, I just take her out every once in awhile. (haha I am so glad that I am just OKAY!)
  6. I'm fine no worries (This was after I asked if everything in our relationship was okay, ha but I am glad that your doing fine. Thanks for asking about me? I am great ha thanks)
  7. Check out my muscles I have been working out a lot (Wow check out all that flab)
  8. Oh my goodness so and so is such a great kisser (well that is just great I am so glad that she is a good kisser, cuz what does that say about me?)
  9. After waiting two hours for a call back I finally text him and say well I am going to bed thanks for calling me. Immediatly I get a call back saying I am so sorry I feel asleep on the couch (Wow I am glad I can hear you driving in the background I mean that is just awesome that you are lying)
  10. Heavenly Father has blessed me with three things in my life. 1: My great looks, 2: My amazing personality, 3: My amazing family ( My reply: Wow you are so humble) (He is so not good looking, he is so arrogant, but maybe he has a great family. At least he has something going for him)

So there ya have it! Coming from the mouths of Babes!

The Blessings in my Life

So lately I have truly realized how blessed I really am. The other day I was having a pity party and just didn't understand why I had to go through a certain trial yet again for the third time. It was over something so little. It was until I went to work that day and sat and listened to a girl at work that has a husband who has pornography problems, when I listened to a girl whose husband cheated on her, when I heard about a family who just lost there mother, when I heard about a family who was suffering to make ends meet, when I looked through pictures of Africa and realized there life style. After pondering about these huge trials that people were going through I really stopped and realized how great my life truly is. I have an amazing family who loves me and supports me in everything that I do, I have amazing friends who keep me laughing, I have an amazing job that I get to see little miracles come into this world, I have the Gospel of Jesus Christ to help me get through each and everyday. What else do I need? I truly am so blessed, and at times I tend to forget that. I think why me? Why does life have to be so hard, what else is there to learn from this, when truly it is so great! I tend to forget that. I think we all forget how great life truly is. Sometimes we get so caught up in the big decisions in life that we forget about the everyday decisions. The simple decisions such as to say your prayers, to read your scriptures, to simply get up in the morning. If we are doing the simple decisions when we get to the big ones we will be prepared and know how make that decision or deal with that certain trial. In last weeks CES fireside they talked about taking life one day at a time. Just do all that you can do to make it through that one day, and then worry about tomorrow later. I truly am grateful for the life that I have even though at times I think I have it so rough, but I have to remember that I don't have all the answers. I can't see the big picture. I have to remember that as long as I do my part I will be blessed. I have been promised that! Heavenly Father is in control, and I wouldn't want it any other way. Well there ya have my little spill for the night!

Sledding

This last weekend my home Singles Ward went to Aspen Grove to go sledding so we decided to tag along. We had a blast!
Linds, Liz, and Me
Easton

So my dad is still in the bishopric. Can I just tell you that he is just like one of the kids. There were around ten of us who stayed out and sledded forever including my Dad, the bishop, and brother Boulter! We made a massive hill! We made some great trains, and piled on top of eachother, ran into each other, and pretty much almost killer ourselves. Really I am surprised that nobody got hurt. We had so much fun! I can't believe all the crazy stuff we did, but it was so worth it! You only live once right?

Linds, Liz, and I tried to go down together on a sled. It sure didn't work out to great seeing as I went down with out the sled!

Roommate Lovin

I have three of the greatest roommates who I seriously just love! I am so lucky! They make me want to be a better person, we are constantly laughing, they give me great advice especially when it comes to stupid boys, they dance with me in the mirror for hours, they support me in everything that I do, and the list could go on and on! We have so much fun together. I couldn't ask for anybody better to live with! We just got a new Roomie who is adorable! Her name is Kelsi Flygar. She fits in just great! We already love her, and are so excited to get to know her. She is a great girl. I am one lucky girl!

Snowboarding

I finally made it out on the Mountain. I can't believe that January 17th was my first time boarding this year. My Dad, Easton, Todd, and me went this last Monday. We had a great day! It was so much fun to be on my board again. I forget how much I love it! The snow wasn't the greatest, but just being on my board was all worth it! I tend to forget how beautiful the mountains are. They truly are a testament that there is a living God who made this beautiful world.

Easton and I

My dad and E
Easton did great. He is such a tough little guy! He just cruized down the mountain, and had such a fun time! My dad is injured so we stuck to groomers all day! It was a good way to start the season off! Snowboarding is just the greatest! Oh how I love it!

New Years Tubing

For New Years we went up to Dave and Nancys Cabin. Dave and John made us a bunch of tubing trails with his snow cat the night before. They were seriously unreal. We had such a great day! It was great to be together with the Whittaker side, and start the year off right.
Meg, Shea, Chez, and I
Easton, Boom, and J
So let's just say that Dave is so crazy, but oh do we love him. My dad went down one of the hills and almost ran into the fence. So what does Dave do he takes the fence out and makes the trail even longer. It doesn't get better then that. My dad was quite the die hard. I think he tubed more then anybody else. He is just like one of us kids, and I love it! Him and Dave went down in the plastic toboggans. I seriously though we were going to go to the ER for how fast they were flying. The best part was them colliding into each other.
Me and Shea

It was a cold day. Can you tell by the icicle frozen to my hat?

Meg, Shea, and I decided to go down on the plastic Toboggans. Let's just say I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. We literally flew down the mountain. I was scared for my life.

This is what happened to us. Let's just say we got a little out of control. Meg was completely buried in the snow. She voted not to ride in the front again. She was sure a good sport though!

I love this picture of Easton. It doesn't get cuter then that

Dave sure spoiled us and came and picked us up in the Cat so we didn't have to hike up every time.

The Snow Cat going to town

Cute little E trying to climb up the Mountain
We had such a great day! I am so grateful that Dave and Nancy let us come up to there Cabin. We are lucky to have such great friends and family that we can play, laugh, and enjoy each others company. Happy New Years!!!
