Happy Easter

Happy Easter!!! Boy is time sure going by fast or what? I feel like it was just Christmas. Anyways... We had a great Easter Sunday this year. I started the day off by teaching Relief Society. I got to teach on Elder Richard G. Scott talk on Marriage from conference. It was such a great talk, but definitely hard to teach, seeing as I have a lot of experience on marriage ha! It went really well though! I really enjoy teaching, and feel like I got so much more out of the lesson... I then went to a fireside with my parents and got to hear Elder Ballard speak. He is an incredible man. He talked on marriage ha it seems like quite the topic lately, but it was great! He also focused so much on us doing just the little things such as reading our scriptures, and saying our prayers. It was a great fireside.... We then went over to Gege and Pops and had dinner. Pop had made each of us a Sling Shot, and let's just say we have had a blast playing with them. We went over the park and played what we call sling golf. It was a blast. We then ended the day with the annual Easter Egg Hunt. I was lucky one and got the $20. Jensen was not to happy with me, but I wasn't complaining!

Pop has been so patient to teach all of us. Of course the boys picked it up on there first try, but me on the other hand still don't have the hang of it. I am getting better though, and having a blast learning how to do something new.
Pop has been throwing a sling since he was 14. He is a pro! It is crazy to think that David killed Goliath using a sling just like ours.

WHAT EASTER IS REALLY ALL ABOUT
I truly am grateful for Easter and the true meaning that it is. I know that my Savior Lives. I know that he bled from every pore for me, because he loves me! He knows everything about me. He knows my name, my strengths, and my weaknesses. I know that he is always there for me no matter what the case may be. I am grateful for his sacrifice for me, and for the knowledge that I have that through him I will be able to be resurrected and be able to live with him again. I am so grateful for his perfect example. Through him we will all be made perfect again! I love this gospel with all my heart, and don't know where I would be without it! I am so grateful for the Easter Holiday and the opportunity it gives us to reflect on the Atoning sacrifice of our Savior!

A New Perspective

Lately life has definitely come with lots of struggles, stresses, and frustrations. I have come to realize that I am not in control. Sometimes I think that I can do things on my own, and that my perfect little story that I imagine is going to happen! I have come to realize that everything happens for a reason, and even though I am 21 and not married, and still trying to get into the nursing program Heavenly Father has a different plan for me that is just perfect for me!! I have learned to have patience. Things don't always work out how you think they should, but they work out how Heavenly Father wants them to. I am so looking forward to a new start. A new drive to do better, and to become the person that I am supposed to be. We recently combined with a new ward which I am really excited about. I have already gone out on a date with somebody I met on Monday and had a great time. I am ready to be social again and meet new people, and to be involved this Summer. I could not be more excited for the warm weather. I am so many fun things I want to accomplish this summer. I have come to realize that life is what you make of it. I could be bitter, and grumpy, but instead I am going to be positive, and take it one day at a time and enjoy the ride!!

Hangin with the Boys

It is spring break this week for my brothers so I decided that I would have them come and stay with me on Sunday night, and give my mom a little break!! They both are full of lots of energy to say the least. Right as we were leaving Easton who is 8 turns and say to my mom," Mom you and dad are going to kiss in bed tonight a lot huh?". Got to love the innocence of an 8 year old. So anyways, Sunday night we ate cookies, played just dance (which was hilarious to watch the two boys play), and attempted to watch Avatar. Jensen watched the whole thing, and would wake me up when there was a good part. Monday we slept in, had some breakfast, watched Avatar again ha! Which is an amazing show I thought! We also played pool, and went to see Hop. It was very cute although J thought it was dumb. We had a great time together! I am so grateful to have these two boys in my life who keep me young! They both have such great personalities, and are constantly making me laugh!!
Love you boys!!

Gotta Love the Things People Say

So dying my hair brown has been quite interesting. I never realized how blunt people are! I have been shocked at some of the comments that I have gotten. Here are some of the funny things people have said to me.....
  1. Oh my "Hell" what did you do to your hair? (Not to mention she said it at work in front of everybody talk about embarrassing)
  2. Jord don't you know that blondes have more fun?
  3. Wow I didn't recognize you with your dark hair. I like your blonde hair much better
  4. Wow, nice hair! (with a roll of the eyes)
  5. Holy cow your like a totally different person!
  6. You look like a sexy Barba Strighstand! (glad I look like an old lady, I guess he did say sexy right)
  7. Oh Your Hair!
  8. Where did my daughter go?
  9. Well I don't think that is going to get rid of your blonde moments, but nice try!
  10. Why did you do that to your hair? I don't like it one bit!
Anyways I just thought it was quite hilarious!! Not that I really care what most of these people think. I personally am digging the new do. I just think it is hilarious how honest some people really are!! At least they are honest right?

Happy Birthday Elder Whittaker

Logan has been serving as a missionary in the Costa Rica mission for 9 1/2 months. He is such an amazing missionary who has been such a huge example to me, and many others. He is determined to do whatever it takes to be the best missionary he possibly can be. He is so obedient, and so humble. He is now senior companion, and the district leader. My dad received an email from the bishop whose ward Log is serving in that told my dad what a great missionary he is. How he is so close to the spirit, and strives to do his best! He said how much they loved and appreciated him, and what a sad day it would be when he got transfered. This says a lot about him. Logan has all the patience in the world, and works hard in whatever he does. What a blessing he has brought to our family. He inspires me to be the best I can be. To draw closer to the Lord. As I read his emails each week it truly amazes me of the person that he is becoming. I love his so much, and am so proud of him.

What I love about Logan

I love his dedication, and drive that he has. He is always willing to give things 100%

His advice that he gives me each week in his letters. Lately I have been struggling with some certain decisions, and he knows just what to tell me.

I love his sense of humor, and how whenever you are having a bad day he always knows just what to do to cheer you up! Whether it was dancing in the mirror at midnight, or talking like a retard, or just his smile.

I love how positive he is about everything.

I love that he realizes that he makes mistakes, but he will do whatever he can do fix those mistakes, and to become better each day!

I love how he can never take a decent picture he always is doing some crazy face

I love that he doesn't care what others think of him. He is who he is!

I love your crazy dance moves. (I miss dancing with you in the mirror and being our goofy selfes)

Elder Whitt I hope you know how much I love you, and how proud I am of you!! I hope you had a great birthday! I thought about you all day! I can't wait for two more years when we can party it up cuz it's your birthday! I miss you more then you will ever know, but know that this is where you are supposed to be!
