St. George Marathon

This Conference weekend we came down to St. George to watch our OLD MAN run his 7TH MARATHON. For any of you who don't know a Marathon is 26.2 miles. He amazes me everyday. He is in better shape then I am and I am 21. This Marathon was a different experience from the others. As I sit here and think about today it has taught me a great life lesson. My dad has two injuries. He has a hurt ankle, and a pulled groin. We were all so worried about him running this year because he wasn't in the best condition, but he has worked so hard, and my dad is NOT a quitter. He had a goal in mind and he was going to acheive that goal if it killed him. My dad came in at Four hours and Fourty Six minutes. He was planning on crossing at three hours and thirty minutes. As three hours and thirty minutes rolled around and my dad was not there the worries began. All I could do was ask my Heavenly Father to be with my dad. To help him have the stregnth that he needed to make it to the end. It got me thinking about how in life sometimes we don't start out 100%. Like in the race my dad wasn't 100% healthy, but if we have Faith in our Heavenly Father, and do the very best that we can then Heavenly Father will pick up the rest and that is exactly what he did for my dad. My dad didn't get the results that he wanted, but he did his best. He didn't just show up this morning not ready to run. He spent countless hours training for this marathon. He said that he felt great up until mile twenty when all of sudden the cramping began. He literally almost fell to the ground, but some man grabbed him just in time. There are so many people in our life ready to grab us when we fall, most importantly our Savior. We can't get through life alone. We have so many tools out there to help us. My dad was not alone today. I know for a fact that his dad was running right beside him pushing him to that finish line. That our Heavenly Father was with him as well.
Sometimes we don't get the results that we want, but we have to realize that it is what our Heavenly Father wants. He sees the big picture, and knows what we need. I am so proud of my dad for making it to the finish. For not giving up! He said it was one of the hardest things he has ever done, and also one of the most painful. It reminded me of life and how nothing comes easy, but we just have to keep on pluggin along, and that is exactly what he did today. He inspires me everyday to dream big and to accomplish my dreams. I know that I can accomplish anything if I set my mind to it. Just like my dad did today. I couldn't be more proud of him!!

Happy Late Birthday to Me

I work with the best ladies at work. We have such a great time! This past Wednesday they threw me and Laura a Late/Early surprise party. Me and Laura went downstairs to take a patient down to Mother Baby and came up to a party. They had monster mash playing, and they were turning the lights on and off that made some killer strobe lights. It was all decorated cute. It was quite the party!! Thanks to Maren and Jodi who are the party planners! Me, Laura, Sarah, and Maren

Trials

Lately life has been quite the struggle. I have learned that Heavenly Father has his own timing for everything. That everything has a purpose. He sees the big picture and truly knows what is best for us. I know that the things that are going on in my life right now are happening for a reason. That there is something that I need to learn. I know that Heavenly Father puts things in our life to help us get through our trials. Prayer has played such a huge role. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. That he is just waiting for us to ASK! The other night I opened my scriptures in hopes to find some peace and comfort. I opened to Alma 32. This chapter is all about Faith. The scriptures are there to give us that comfort and also to help us seek answers and that is exactly what it did for me that night.
Most importantly I know that Heavenly Father gave me two amazing parents to help me! I honestly couldn't ask for two greater people to be my parents. They support me 100%, they have faith in me, the encourage me to be a better person, they are a great example to me, they have great advice for me, and they love me for who I am! I love you both more then you will ever know!
I am so grateful for the trials that Heavenly Father puts in our lives. For the many things that we can learn, and grow from to become better people. We just have to take it one day at a time, and remember those things that Heavenly Father has put in our lives to help us! So that is my little spill for the day!

Alpine Loop

This past weekend Linds and I decided to take the Jeep and drive the Alpine Loop. I just can't seem to get enough of the Canyon. It is so beautiful, especially right now with the leaves changing colors. We had a great time. Jammed out to some music, had some great discussions about life, laughed of course, and just had a great time! Me and Linds right before we left!

The two blondes. The giant and the midgit
It just amazes me how truly beautiful it is. It seriously is breath taking. I kept thinking to myself that if this is so beautiful just imagine what the Celestial Kingdom will be like. It gave me the little push to do a little better so that one day I can make it back home!

What a fun night!!

Park City

The other night us roomies decided to go to Park City and do some shopping. We had such a blast!! Us girls sure know how to have a good time! We went to dinner (which did not sit well for any of us) Let's just say that Linds sure knows how to evacuate a room! We went and shopped the outlets, and found some really cute things! Liz, Linds, and Me (My amazing roommates)

Me and Linds are just the best of buddies! I just love her face, and am so grateful to have such an amazing friend! We are two of the biggest blondes you will ever meet, but we sure know how to have a good time!
We laughed our heads off, got some super cute stuff, got lost for a bit, had a little gas, danced in the car, and had a great night!!
