Memorial Day

It is tradition in my family to go on Sunday with Gege and Pop and visit our relatives who have passed on. It was a very rainy, but fun day!! I am so grateful for my past relatives and for the lives that they lived. If it weren't for them I wouldn't be here today! I wouldn't have been raised in the gospel! I wouldn't have the knowledge that one day I will live with them again! My grandpa snapped this picture of me (Is it bad if I say that I really love it)

This was at Bammy and Papas grave (My great-grandparents)

Traditional kid photo.... I am sure missing my brother not being here!

We had a great day!! I love the opportunity it gives my grandparents to tell us about there history, and to tell us stories about them growing up!! We ended up eating at gege and pops and then ending the day with playing Sling Golf, our new favorite game!

Happy Mother's Day

I have the greatest Mom!! I just want to wish her a Happy Mothers Day!! I would not be the person I am today if it weren't for my mom. She is always there to support me in everything that I do. She is a great listener, and I can talk to her about anything! She gives me great advice, and is always striving to help me to be the best that I possibly can be. She has such a strong testimony of this gospel. Not a day goes by that she doesn't study the scriptures. Through her example, and testimony she has helped me to gain my own testimony of this Gospel. My mom means everything to me! I hope that one day I can be half of the mother that she is!! I sure do love you mom!!

Friday Night on the Town

I had such a fun weekend!! Friday night Dev came over! It is always a party when hanging out with Dev. We are the the biggest dorks and just have a grand old time. So we went to Noodles, and got the famous Mac and Cheese that is to die for. We then went to a concert in Provo that was on the roof of a parking garage. It was so much fun! It finally felt like summer. I couldn't tell you who the bands were, but hey they were good!! That is all that matters right? I do know that they were both Local bands from Provo. So me and Dev have this really fun, embarrassing game that we love to play in totally random places that are full of lots of people. Well we decided to play here and totally embarrassed my sweet roommate Liz (ah she loves us). Well we now found out what it is in Sign Language. Anybody know what this means in Sign Language ha ha?

Liz, Dev, and Me

It was so fun to just be with the girls!! Liz moved out on me and she was the one that I always hung out with since Linds has a Boyfriend now!! So I have really missed her! It was fun to be with her this weekend.
Me and Dev danced the night away at the concert! Everybody kept looking at us like we were freaks, but we obviously didn't care!! We had a good time and that is all that matters!! We ended the night by going to see Something Borrowed!! Seriously my new favorite movie. I loved it! I dunno if it was cuz the guy in it was so FREAKIN HOT! Or the fact that I finally realized that I deserve the best!! Anways that is my weekend.....

You Can Do Hard Things

Yesterday I had a humbling experience at work. We had a patient who was a drug addict and had to put her baby up for adoption. She had found a great LDS couple who were darling. They were so supportive through the whole labor. When I went in there for delivery I had a whole new perspective on the situation. Before I was so upset with this mother for putting those harmful substances in her body because not only was she hurting herself, but she was hurting this poor baby. As I walked in tears streamed down both mothers eyes. The one would soon loose her baby due to her decisions that she had made, and the other was about to welcome a beautiful baby girl into her life and give it a great life. I soon felt sorrow for the poor women who would loose her baby. It made me realize that life is a choice and with every choice we receive a consequence whether good or bad. We are in charge of our life. Due to this patients decision she would soon loose her baby. Annette Pulley was her nurse. She is like a mother to me. After everything was over she turned to the patient and said, "You can do hard things!" Even though this lady did such a terrible thing she still overcame the situation and made things right and hopefully will learn from this experience. This life is not easy, but I know that I too can do hard things. We have a loving Heavenly Father who is with us every step of the way, helping us to do those hard things because he LOVES US!
