Merry Christmas

NATIVITY
This year we Put on the Nativity it was so much fun! John and Cathy put the program together. We sang songs in between and I got to play the piano. Cathy had great costumes put together as well. It truly brought the true meaning of Christmas! It reminded us all why we celebrate Christmas.

Christmas Day
We spent the day at John and Cathy's. Everybody brought there favorite dish. So the food was delicious! I definitely ate way to much, but hey it was Christmas! We played games, put on the nativity, ate, and ate again, shared our favorite Christmas memory, and just enjoyed being together as a family!

CHRISTMAS MORNING
We woke up around seven o clock. Jensen woke up every couple hours to see what time it was. It is so fun to be home with my brothers for Christmas. Seeing as they are still young. It was weird to have it only be the three of us though! We came down stairs to see what Santa brought us. We were spoiled like usual. Sometimes I wonder why I was so fortunate to be blessed with all that I have. I truly am grateful. Shea, Kyle, Gege, and pop all came over, and had breakfast with us, and also shared a very important phone call. We then opened more presents. It was a great morning.

PHONE CALL
The highlight to my Christmas was getting to talk to Logan. We got to talk to him for 45 minutes. So we each got five minutes. It went by way to fast. He sounded so great, and even had a little bit of an accent. My mom came in and told me my time was up, and let me tell you saying goodbye was so hard. I just cried! Everybody talked to him, and then we put him on speaker phone and he bore his testimony in Spanish. Although we didn't understand a word that he was saying we felt the spirit so strong. My parents then got the rest of the time. I wanted to talk to him one more time so I picked up the phone, and talked to him in my retarded voice. At first he was like huh, but then he started talking in his voice too! It was hilarious, and just what I needed. He is such an amazing person who makes me want to be better everyday. I know that he is giving it 100% and truly doing the best that he can. I love him so much, and miss him like crazy!
MERRY CHRISTMAS
I had a great Christmas. I am truly grateful for the true meaning of Christmas. For the birth of my Savior. I am grateful for the sacrifice that Mary and Joseph made to bring him into this world. I am grateful for my Savior, and for the life that he led. For his example. I am grateful for his atoning sacrifice for me. He gave me the opportunity to repent of my sins so that one day I can return and live with him again. I truly love him, and am so grateful that we could celebrate him this Christmas!

Christmas Eve Fort

Christmas Eve we always make a fort in Eastons room and sleep in it. It is such a blast! We sure missed Log and Shea this year. It was weird with just the three of us, but we still had a great time! I forget what crazy sleepers my brothers are. Jensen woke up three different times to see what time it was. Finally seven rolled around and we were able to get up! I am grateful for my brothers who keep me young! It makes Christmas really fun!

Christmas Eve

We had our Annual Christmas Eve party at Gege at Pops this year. We had a delicious candle light dinner. My grandma always goes all out. I love it! We then went and gave baskets full of goodies around. We took them to the Pulleys, and then my grandpas two cousins, Charley, and Blanch. Blanch kept us laughing the whole time. She is 97 and the cutest little lady you will ever meet. I love getting the chance to see them! We then came back and opened presents. We were spoiled. We truly are so blessed. I am grateful that I got to spend time with my family. I love them all so very much, and am grateful for each and every one of them.

Our traditional Christmas photo

Each year we get Christmas PJ's which we all love! We always take a picture on the stairs as well. We were definetly missing some people. It was weird to be the oldest, and not have Shea, and Log there!
For the Past three years me, Dev, and Shea have made my grandparents a homemade gift. It is so much fun to think of something to do. My grandpa is getting into photography so we had him come and take our pictures, and that is why we gave my grandma. The my grandpa we found him a photo album and filled it with some of the amazing pictures he has taken.
Me, Dev, and J

We had a great Christmas Eve! Thanks Gege and Pop for all you guys do!

We even have a Christmas tree

There ya have it! I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner! I am so excited!

Christmas Party

On Friday me and Linds went to a Christmas party that our friends Jordan Gray and Jordan Houghton put on. We were told to wear a Christmas Sweater. Luckily Cathy had hung onto some of her old ones so we were set. We ate dinner, did white elephant gifts, sang some songs ha, had an ugly sweater contest which linds took 5th place, and then just hung out! It was seriously a blast. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. It was great to see friends from high school again, and catch up with everyone. I have to admit that our sweaters look pretty darn good! Me and Linds decided that we are going to wear them everyday. One because they are super cute ha, two because they are so comfy, and three because they are so festive!

This is the whole crew who was at the party!

All of the girls!!
Okay so I have to share a little story with you about my and Linds white elephant gifts ha ha! You better run to the bathroom quick cuz this is hilarious!!..... So to begin let's just say our gift totally dominated everyone ha! So the instructions that we got was to spend $10 on the gift. So me and Linds decided that we were going to get $10 worth of gold fish. Pretty sweet eh! Well we get to the store, and we both think it would be hilarious to get a hamster. So we ask the lady what the cheapest hamster is? Well we were seriously in luck because the cheapest one was $10.88. So we said that we would take it. So she put it in a little box with holes and we were on our way. We put it in a gift bag, and covered it with tissue paper! The hamster was going crazy you could hear it in the box running around. So we kept checking on it all during the night until we did the white elephant gift to make sure that it was getting air, and wasn't gonna die on us. So I walked over to check on it and the bag was seriously moving like crazy. So I peaked in and the hamster was right there out of the box. I was dying! It had totally chewed a hole in the box, and gotten out. So I obviously wasn't going to touch it. SO I was calling for Linds to come over, and luckily Jacee was right there and hurried and grabbed it in her hands while I put it in the box. Ah we were dying of laughter it was hilarious! So then we started doing white elephant gifts, and this kid was holding it on his lap and was like, "dude this is moving there is something alive in here", and Linds reply"oh it is just battery operated" ha! So they start reading the story and we are passing these two bags around well somebody drops the Hamster bag, and I scream because knowing my luck out would run a hamster, but luckily it didn't. So then it stops and everybody opens there gifts. Everybodies face was priceless when they saw that we had brought a live hamster. So this girl decides to hold it ha and gets peed all over! So then she almosts drops it on the floor. Then everybody wants to pass it around and it almost gets dropped like twenty times. It was hilarious! I just sat back and laughed my head off!! So if any of you n eed some ideas this one is classic!

Food Bank

Last Monday my dads side of the family went to the Food bank in Provo. It was such a humbling experience. It made me realize all of the many things that we take for granite, and food being one of those things. I didn't realize how many people are struggling to make ends meet just in Provo. I can't imagine getting to a point in my life where I couldn't even provide food for my family. I am so grateful to my parents for always providing for our family. We are so fortunate.
They took us on a tour of the Food Bank. The man said that they feed around 120 families a day. Not just 120 people, but 120 families. He also said that families can only come back every two weeks. I will let you do the math, but to me that is so many people who are going hungry. Most of the food there is canned food. If you look behind the family you will see yellow bins which are all full of canned food. They had several isles of them. I am so grateful to the thousands of people who have donated food. I need to be better.
We were in charge of making snack bags. So we decorated brown paper sacks and filled them with treats, and granola bars. It was such a blast to be together as a family, and to know that what we were doing would benefit someone else. They had a giant scale there so we decided to all jump on it and see how much we weighed. We weighed 2,009lbs. It was pretty funny....
I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to do something for someone else. I love the holiday season and for the many opportunities we have to serve those around us. To forget about ourselves and think of somebody else. To put yourself in there shoes and realize that life isn't so bad. I know I am so much happier when I am doing something for someone else.
"Service changes people. It refines, purifies, gives a finer perspective, and brings out the best in each one of us. It gets us looking outward instead of inward. Righteous service is the expression of true charity, such as the Savior showed."
