Weekend

So I am very sad to say that I had quite the eventful weekend but I didn't take any pictures. I am trying really hard to keep up with my blog though so that I can keep some what of a journal so I decided to just write about it.

Thursday Night: My ear has been killing me the past week and I couldn't seem to figure out what was going on. Well working with a bunch of doctors does have it's benefits. Dr. Ollerton checked out my ear and discovered a lovely ear infection. So he prescribed me some anti-biotics and I was good to go!

Friday: Our ward was having a Camp out up at Fairview. Seeing that I have a lovely ear infection I only went up for the day. My dad, Linds, Easton, Jessica, and me all drove up around noonish. We got there and hung out at the camp site and then ended up to the Manti Pageant. I forgot how much I loved the pagant. It was so great to go and see the Book of Mormon come to life, to feel of the spirit, and to be with the members of our ward.

Saturday: I went on a date with my buddy Gregg. He is a good friend from High School who just recently returned from his mission in Japan. We went to Cafe Rio, to the Lehi rodeo, and then to get some Ice-Cream. It was a blast. I love going to the rodeo, getting all dressed up, and feeling like a cowgirl. Me and Gregg had a really good time catching up on the past two years, and talking about the crazy things we used to do in high school.

So that is my wonderful weekend!! Sorry there is no pictures!!

Taylor Car Wash

I was coming home the other day from teaching piano and the cute Taylor kids were washing there dads car. So I asked them if I was next and they got so excited and said to come on over. So I went over and helped them wash my car. They said that they are going to start there own car wash business and only charge a dollar per wash. Kim said well you will get your money's worth then. They are such cute kids who I adore.
Cute little Court washing my car. The poor kid has had a cast on since the beginning of the summer! Luckily he will get it off soon. He is my favorite little boy. I hope to have one just like him. I have to tell a funny story about Court. I guess he had this girl in his class who he really liked and she told him one day that she wouldn't marry him. Court was hysterical. He could not stop crying because he was so sad. So later that day I told court that I would marry him and he said, " No way you are way to old". It was pretty cute!
I am so grateful for great neighbors like the Taylors who we can depend on. They are so great and would do anything for us. They bring so much joy into my life.

Jensen's First Time Behind the Wheel

Poor kid needs to grow a little bit. He could barely see over the steering wheel.

So the other day J was so bored and driving my mother crazy so I decided to teach him how to drive. I have never been so scared in my life. When he first got in the car he couldn't even see over the steering wheel. Luckily we could adjust the seat A LOT! He then put both feet on the pedals. It made me laugh because that is the exact same thing that I did when I first learned how to drive. I let him drive around the block and after almost having a heart attack I decided we needed to head over to the church parking lot. He actually did pretty well. Luckily he still has two years to practice.

Happy Father's Day

The things I love about my dad
  • It doesn't matter where we are my dad always finds someone he knows or meets a new friend. (at Shea's wedding somebody in line asked if he was the mayor)
  • He is still a kid himself
  • He can still keep up with us on the slopes or in anything that we do.
  • He is always encouraging me to do my best in whatever I do
  • I love it when he gets laughing so hard. His laugh is hilarious and so contagious
  • I love it when he calls me his little girl or Toej
  • I love that I am his favorite to wrestle with. Even though I get annoyed sometimes I still love it!
  • I loved how involved my dad has been in my life. He still to this day never missed anything and supports me in everything I do.
  • I love that he gives a 100% to his calling. The members love him.
  • I love that he still goes by Boomer
  • I love watching him dance with all of his rhythm
  • I love his willingness to serve all those around him
  • I love that anytime I can ask him for a blessing because I know that he is worthy
  • I love it when he talks in a gay voice or his retarded voice
  • I love it that I can talk to my dad about anything and that he always has great advice for me!
  • I love it that whenever my friends come over he is so interested in there lives and is always so welcoming. Sometimes I feel like my friends come over just to see him!
  • I love that my dad has a testimony of this gospel and is not afraid to share it. He is such a huge influence to me and so many others

I could go on all day about the many things that I love about my dad. Dad I want you to know that I love you so much. I couldn't ask for a better dad! You are the greatest! I hope that you have a Happy Father's Day!!

MTC

Log and KJ

Log, Mom and Dad

Bro and Sis

The Siblings

The Bros

Last Family Pic

Before we went to the MTC we stopped at J Dawgs. It was so delicious, but so messy. Logan spilled all over his suit. It was actually quite hilarious! Good thing there is a dry cleaners at the MTC.

Shea was even a good sport and ate one just for Log

Well the day finally came. Log is off to the MTC. It was such a bitter sweet day. Full of lot's of emotions. Log we sure do love you and know that you are going to do great! Remember it was never meant to be easy but it will be worth it. You are the Lord's Army!

Elder Whittaker

Elder Whittaker left today to the MTC. He will be serving in Costa Rica and will enter the field on August 17. He left with a smile on his face and didn't look back. What a great missionary he is going to make. I have never seen someone so excited to serve and most importantly someone so prepared. Logan is truly my best friend and I will miss him dearly, but I am so proud of him. He will make our family proud. He will do his best and I know that Heavenly Father will take care of the rest.
What I am going to miss the most about Elder Whitt
  • Our dance parties late at night in the mirror
  • Logan coming home late at night and peaking in my room to tell me good night
  • Our late night chats talking about life and giving each other advice
  • Our many goofy voices
  • Listening to him and my brothers argue about sports
  • Him giving me a hard time or a good wrestle
  • Watching him serve all those around him
  • Hearing him eat a bowl of cereal when he gets home late at night
  • Watching him pick at his face
  • Watching him wrestle with the boys especially when the little ones are arguing and making them hug each other and tell them that they love each other
  • Watching him perfect anything and everything he does
  • Blowing the air horn at people as we drive by and laugh until we cry
  • His constant smile
  • Finding his empty contact cases on the counter instead of the garbage that is 2 feet away
  • Him not lifting the lid
  • Him telling me that he loves me and that I deserve the best

I love you Elder Whittaker!!!

Setting Apart

Logan and Pop
I am so grateful for my grandpa. After Log got set apart he turned to D&C 31 and read it to us. He always knows what we need to hear, and how to bring the spirit into our home. I am so grateful for him and the huge influence he has played in our lives.
This is my favorite picture. Right before Log got set apart I walked into Eastons room to help him get dressed and J was putting on his Tie. I tried to convince E to wear a different tie that would match better but he was like look Jord there is Brown and green in my shirt and my tie. It was so cute! He then walked out with his Future Missionary tag. It was so dang cute! I have the greatest brothers who I just love.

Elder Whittaker was set apart as a missionary on June 15, 2010. This was such a bitter sweet day. I can't believe that my little Logan is old enough to serve a mission. President Judd set him apart and gave him a beautiful blessing. The spirit was so strong. It was a testiment to me that this is what Logan is suppose to be doing. To bring the gospel to those who don't have it so they can have the great Joy that we have. What an awesome missionary Logan is going to make!

Logan's Farewell

Our Goofy Family
I have to say that I have such an amazing family. There is a special love that we have for each other that I don't think a lot of families have. We may not be perfect but together we have it all!

The Whitts and the Boghs

Me, Log, Shea, and Kyle

Mandy is Logan's girlfriend and we think that she is pretty great. She would make such an awesome sister in law. Me and Shea are going to do our best to keep her around!

Gege, Log, and Pop
I have to say I have the best grandparents anyone could ever ask for. They support us in everything that we do. They still play woofle ball, four square, you name it they will be there and ready to win. I sure do love them and am so grateful for the part that they have played in my life.
My mom and her best friend Kim. Kim is seriously the best friend that everyone dreams on having. She is always the first one to ask what she can do to help. She does so much for our family. We love you Kim!

Me and Log.

Log and Mand

I just want to tell Shea how much I love her. She is such a great sister. I am so grateful for the relationship that we have. I know that I can count on her to always be there for me. I love you Shea!

The little kids eating some breakfast! Gotta love Easton!

Logan did such an amazing job on his talk. The spirit was so strong. Logan is so prepared and ready to serve a mission. He taught with such power. So many people came up to my mom afterwards and said that it was like they were at a Homecoming. He will change so many lives. He has such a strong testimony of this gospel. I am grateful for him and his example to all those that surround him.
We had so many family and friends come and support Logan. I am so grateful that we have amazing family and friends who support our family in all that we do. We love you all so much!

Swimming Party

We had our last family get together before Logan left and Todd and Annie were so nice to let us have a pool party at there house. It was such a blast. We had our whole entire family there from both sides. It was so much fun! Thanks Todd and Annie for letting us have a party! You guys always throw the best parties! Shea, me, Dev, and Mandy
I have to say I just love these girls! I don't know what I would do without you guys!
Todd, and MarquellePop, Todd, and John
Eh Duh!!
This is by far my favorite picture of the night! Yes, those would be my brothers. I taught them everything that they know!

So us kids were getting lonely and we decided that the adults needed to come and play with us. Everyone was such great sports. Cari was the last one to go in. Her girls thought we were so mean, but can any of us see Cari getting mad?

I don't think any of us realized how strong Todd really was. We barely got him in.

John was the first one to go in. He pretty much let us throw him in, but he made sure his shoes, belt, and phone were off.
Troy and Cathy were thrown in as well!

Me and cute Tamzy

Logan's last time in the water for two years!

Tayla, Shea, Me, Tessa, Mandy, Dev, and Meg

It just isn't a party until you make a train down the slide!

I love this picture. She is such a doll!

Lake Powell

E and little Bubba

Shea and KJ

The whole whitt clan

Boom

J B Whitt

Logan doing a flip on the board. He is so fun to watch. He flies across the wake literally! I keep telling myself that one day I will be as good as him!

Mom still has it

E John and Log waking boarding together. It doesn't get better then that!

The first day we went to Conney's Crack. You hike through the rock and it goes all the way to the other side. It is very cool!

So I haven't skied in two years and I was so determined to get up my first try. My mom always says stay in your ball, push with your back foot, lean back, and keep your head down. So I listened to everything that she said and got up my first try. You can tell by this picture that I was going to do everything I could to get up even if it was to blow my cheeks.

Every night when it would get dark we would go from hunting on the beach. The boy would put them in a net and then bring them back to the house boat. We would stick them in a whole and watch them try to get out. It was quite comical.

So Elimination is by far one of our favorite things to do while at powell. It is tradition. You put two tubes next to each other and then you wrestle each other off. Amanda Jane and I were quite the team this year. We had the system down to a T to get people off. We actually did pretty well. TC got so frustrated with both of us it was hilarious! In this picture I almost had TC but let's just say my bare butt was skidding across the water.

TC, Jane, and me trying to fight TC off!

We had just got Caden, and Walker off! The two blondes were tougher then everyone thought!

Kyle trying to flip the tube, but don't worry we held on

Jensen, Caden, Abby Jane, and Me (me and Abby ended up getting the boys off)

Lake Powell is one of my favorite Vacations. We went this year for memorial day. It was a blast. We went with the Taylors, Nielsons, Swensons, and the Murdocks. It was such a great group. It has been amazing to watch our families grow over the years. We had four recently returned missionaries, two serving at the time, and one getting ready to leave. It doesn't get better then that. The water was freezing but luckily the weather was great! We woke up early and did our morning runs, played cards, skiied, wake boarded, caught some frogs, swam, and laughed till our stomachs hurt. It was a great trip!!
